"My work directly reflects the earth's environment. I want to show the gentle beauty of what surrounds us. Not "postcard" images such as the majestic mountains, or breathtaking ocean vistas, but a more subtle world - the sunlight brushing over dying grass in a roadside ditch; moss clinging to the side of stone, looking like a velvet cushion in the shadows of a forest. tucked into these pictorial vignettes are species from the animal kingdom. Like us, these animals are passing through - just visitors, here for a brief time in space. It is the environment that is the focal point. It is the environment that sustains us. Sustains life.
